Move Over Meatpacking District SoHo and Williamsburg

Make Way for Sunset Park.

Move over Meatpacking District, SoHo and Williamsburg and make way for Sunset Park, because Liberty View is “BEYOND” expectations!

Brooklyn is really happening now. Its hoods are in high demand: Brooklyn Heights, Dyker Heights, DUMBO, Williamsburg, Bed-Stuy, Prospect Park, Red Hook and now — Sunset Park. A portion of Sunset Park is regarded as a historic district, thanks to St. Michael’s Church (its dome is Romanesque) and Our Lady of Perpetual Help (largest Church in Brooklyn), the Sunset Park Courthouse (a NYC landmark), the Former 18th Police Precinct Station House and Stable, and the Sunset Play Center (has a very rare exterior and interior). There are lots of redevelopment along Sunset Park’s waterfront, a new training facility for the Brooklyn Nets at Industrial City, the Bush Terminal Park between 44th and 51st Streets, improvement of Industry City (the former Bush Terminal), and the use of warehouses as party and event venues. It’s without a doubt that all these activities are making Sunset Park super hot now!

Bed Bath & Beyond, every family’s top favorite domestic merchandise retail store since the 1970s, is now open at the Sunset Park of Brooklyn located at 850 Third Avenue. Also known as “BEYOND at Liberty View,” shoppers can enjoy all of Bed Bath & Beyond’s top brands all in one location: Bed Bath & Beyond, buybuy BABY, Cost Plus World Market and Face Values.

It’s not just shopping for home, beauty, fashion and kids — there will be good eats too! Visitors can enjoy a fun, food hall style dining experience with family and friends. For example, The Bay Market Kitchen offers delicious American food and locally brewed craft beer, cool beer growlers and wine. Toby’s Estate Coffee serves espresso drinks, drip and pour-over coffee and many treats to satisfy all shoppers’ appetites. For all foodies out there, be sure to check out 71 at BEYOND which offers cooking classes and product demos, food sampling, how-to sessions and more!

BEYOND at Liberty View in Sunset Park is definitely a destination for all, because it has everything one needs under one roof!

  • Bed Bath & Beyond Brooklyn is unique from the other Bed Bath & Beyond stories, because it sells products by the local design community via the “Born in Brooklyn” section. There’s also a concierge, personal shopping, registry and home delivery service!
  • Face Values offers brand name beauty and healthy products, nutritional bars and lots of travel size products at unbelievably low prices. Beauty enthusiasts can book an appointment or walk in for a wash, blow and style at the Blow In Blow Out Bar.
  • buybuy BABY is great for new and expectant parents. It has a baby registry department, a nursery design center, baby gear and clothes. It also has a book department with a reading and activity area and a stroller and car seat showroom, so parents to explore everything that suits their needs.
  • Cost Plus World Market is renowned for its home goods, such as but not limited to: furniture, textiles, ceramics, glassware, home decor, artisan d gifts, jewelry, accessories, global food and beverages from all over the world.

If you’re traveling to Brooklyn, be sure to check out it’s upcoming events starting on Friday, January 13th. For those who live in Sunset Park, definitely stop by after work and enjoy baking and cooking shows! For more information about BEYOND at Liberty View and its upcoming events, visit here.

Thanks for visiting my blog: Lifestyle411.net I'm currently a lifestyle contributor for Thrive Global and am Amazon Influencer. I was a contributor for Huffington Post and Examiner.com. My stories can be found at https://www.thriveglobal.com/authors/103-beverly-lim --- and huffingtonpost.com/author/beverly-lim --- I'm a super mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and an awesome BFF. I stay organized, thanks to my wireless assistant: smartphone, tablets, and laptop. In addition to beauty, fashion, technology and traveling, I love arts & culture, food/wine, and indulge in very much needed "me" time whenever humanly possible! Dining out, cooking/entertaining family and friends throughout the year makes me happy. I'm addicted to shopping in order to have whatever required to compliment my every mood. I enjoy a good jog, especially after a challenging work day so I can release endorphins. A great session on the treadmill or bike makes me smile from cheek to cheek, no matter how stressful of a day I had! When I'm home and after my family and pets are asleep, I pamper myself with a facial mask, hair treatment and lose myself in an aromatherapy bubble bath. It's like being on a dreamy spa getaway -- till the family wakes up and it's time for me to feed the kids, walk the dogs, to go work... I just loving sharing new finds with all those who have the desire to discover the best of the best that life has to offer!
