Don’t Underestimate the Importance of Telling Someone You Care

Make a positive impact around the world by telling people how much they matter.

Now that Memorial Day has passed, summer is here, which means that close to half the year has gone by. With so many exciting things to do and experience, it feels like time is flying by at the speed of light. As I’m sure many can relate, I sometimes take on too much and forget to take a step back to tell my family, friends and other important people in my life that they truly matter. Between the daily tasks of work, exercise, taking care of our families and our pets, among others, there is little room for quality time with loved ones. However, it only takes one second out of your busy schedule to tell someone that they matter.

When was the last time you called your grandparents, parents, siblings or significant other to tell them that they matter to you? It’s amazing how performing one small act can make such a large difference to someone. Simply by telling someone, “you matter,” you can change their lives for the better.

This may all sound very simple. Of course you would think the people in your life know how important they are to you and how much you love them, but you’d be surprised how many people do not feel acknowledged or appreciated. Unfortunately, too many of us become so consumed with our daily lives that we neglect to tell people how much and how often they matter. At the end of the day, there is no excuse not to tell those you love or those who have positively impacted your life that they matter. No matter where you are in the world, or what time zone you’re in, it only takes a second to let someone know that you appreciate them.

And now it is easier than ever to make sure those closest to you receive this message.  Using MATTERGRAM, a new digital platform that enables you to send creative, interpersonal messages, you can let people know that not only are you thinking of them and that they matter, but also that they matter to the world.

Angela Maiers, the author and speaker who has been creating and leading change in education and enterprise, inspired the movement of mattering, which has already been spreading rapidly across the world. As part of expanding this movement, children and adults alike have been sending MATTERGRAMs to give people a sense of much-needed empowerment.

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and there is no better time to let Dad know how much he matters to you. Join the mattering movement today by sending a MATTERGRAM! Get started by logging into: www.mattergram.com.

Thanks for visiting my blog: Lifestyle411.net I'm currently a lifestyle contributor for Thrive Global and am Amazon Influencer. I was a contributor for Huffington Post and Examiner.com. My stories can be found at https://www.thriveglobal.com/authors/103-beverly-lim --- and huffingtonpost.com/author/beverly-lim --- I'm a super mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and an awesome BFF. I stay organized, thanks to my wireless assistant: smartphone, tablets, and laptop. In addition to beauty, fashion, technology and traveling, I love arts & culture, food/wine, and indulge in very much needed "me" time whenever humanly possible! Dining out, cooking/entertaining family and friends throughout the year makes me happy. I'm addicted to shopping in order to have whatever required to compliment my every mood. I enjoy a good jog, especially after a challenging work day so I can release endorphins. A great session on the treadmill or bike makes me smile from cheek to cheek, no matter how stressful of a day I had! When I'm home and after my family and pets are asleep, I pamper myself with a facial mask, hair treatment and lose myself in an aromatherapy bubble bath. It's like being on a dreamy spa getaway -- till the family wakes up and it's time for me to feed the kids, walk the dogs, to go work... I just loving sharing new finds with all those who have the desire to discover the best of the best that life has to offer!
