Kids prefer toys instead of candies!
Halloween is here and the holidays are near, so that means lots of sugary sweet treats — cakes, ice cream, candies, gum, chocolates and the sugary list goes on and on! As a result, it can mean a huge dental bill and weight gain.
It is possible to make Halloween more fun and healthy for the body and mind! Try giving out themed toys that help encourage children to use their imagination. In fact, my kids prefer to grab toys instead of candies, when we go trick-or-treating. Toy alternatives are are wonderful to encourage kids to eat healthier — especially around the holidays when we’re all surrounded by sweet treats!
My precious darling princess, nieces and all her school friends have been obsessed with L.O.L. Surprise! Dolls (“Little Outrageous Little Surprise”). I was very weary to let them into our home, because they are not cheap. L.O.L.’s average approximately $10 a ball, and my daughter already has more than 50 balls in her collection!
In addition, there are L.O.L. Surprise Big Surprise sets that cost at least $69.99, and they run out so fast, that parents will find prices can go up for more than $100 each on Amazon and eBay! Kids just love these glittery, dome shaped plastic cases, filled with 50 surprises to unwrap. They include the cutest dolls, pets, clothing, charms and many other adorable accessories that are all individually unwrapped. Children enjoy the pleasure of uncovering all of the toys’ colorful layers and figuring out the fun surprises inside. Some L.O.L. dolls change color in cold water, cry, spit and even wee wee.
Since this year’s Halloween is on a school night, I plan to host a small Halloween party for my darling daughter and some of her little friends. I’ll take them trick or treating in our apartment building and will invite them to our home for a healthy Halloween dinner and will surprise them with some fun-filled trick or treats with L.O.L. Dolls instead of sugary sweet cavity causing candies.
Here are just some examples of L.O.L Surprise! dolls and pets that I plan to treat my princess little princess and her friends with for Halloween this year! Not only will they consume less sugar and increase their imagination with these cute collectibles, but their parents will be happier that their kids’ dental bills will be less this holiday season.
