Its fourth flavor in the history of the iconic chocolate brand.

The Hershey Company, the top chocolate manufacturer in United States confection launched the official Hershey’s Gold bars. It’s only the fourth flavor in the history of the renowed chocolate brand. Its launch date is, November 1, 2017 is to celebrate the brand’s official sponsorship of the United States Olympic Committee and the significance of marking the 100 Day countdown to the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.

Hershey announced a new flavor earlier this month to their namesake portfolio, Hershey’s Gold. For those who haven’t tried it yet, or don’t like caramel — you’re in for one of the best surprise sweet treats ever! I enjoy catching up on my emails and order household needs after my family goes to sleep, so I treat myself to a midnight sweet treat — a strong cup of coffee with Hershey’s dark and milk chocolate kisses.

I love good quality chocolate with my coffee, but not just any mass market chocolate that you find from the newspaper stand or your local pharmacy check out isles that tend to leave a stale taste on the tongue. There’s just something real special about Hershey’s chocolate. I even gave myself a blind taste test once with Hershey’s chocolates and other over the counter chocolates and immediately I pick Hershey’s 100% of the time.

I was fortunate to meet Hershey’s Master Chocolatier Jim St. John, and discovered that Hershey gets farm fresh milk from local dairy farms. Its chocolate is made with thousands of gallons of fresh milk delivered daily from farms within 100 miles of its factory in Hershey, PA. The milk is mixed with cane sugar and condensed to create a taffy-like consistency before mixing it with the unsweetened chocolate. Hershey’s simplifies the ingredients in its chocolate, uses only cane sugar, removes GMOs and add in more cocoa butter — so it’s yummier, healthier and more natural than other chocolate brands that you find in your grocery store.

I never liked caramel, so I was hesitant about Hershey’s Gold. I gave it a try and now I’m hooked for life! The new bars are a caramelized crème that feature salty peanut and pretzel bits for a sweet, buttery taste that is topped off with a creamy and crunchy finish. It tastes divine, as the caramelized creme perfectly melds with the salty peanut and pretzel. It’s in a league all of its own! For those who love a little bit of everything — sweet and salty, crunchy and creamy, then Hershey’s Gold is the winning candy bar for you.

Hershey’s flavor history began in 1900 with the launch of its iconic milk chocolate bar, followed by Hershey’s Special Dark chocolate in 1939. It wasn’t until 1995, 56 years later, that the company introduced Hershey’s Cookies ‘n Creme, which was one of America’s first tastes of white chocolate. Now in 2017, the iconic Hershey’s brand launched Hershey’s Gold, the first mass-market, golden creme confection in the U.S.

The launch of Hershey’s Gold will introduce Americans to a new flavor and a new experience unlike any others before.”

Apolo Ohno & Rico Roman Join Team Hershey’s as Brand Ambassadors:
In support of the Hershey’s Gold bars launch, and as a partner of Team USA, Hershey’s brand proudly welcomes Apolo Ohno, two-time Olympic gold medalist and the most decorated American Winter Olympic athlete of all time, and Rico Roman, 2014 Paralympic Winter Games gold medalist, Army Veteran and 2018 Paralympic Hopeful, to its athlete roster of brand ambassadors. In the lead up to, and during the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, both Ohno and Roman will serve as Team Hershey’s athletes and inspire consumers nationwide to embrace the Olympic and Paralympic spirit with the new Hershey’s Gold bars. In addition, Simone Biles, four-time Olympic gold medalist, who joined Team Hershey’s in advance of the Olympic Games Rio 2016, will help debut and celebrate the new flavor.

Starting December 1, fans can purchase Hershey’s Gold bars in retailers nationwide and start cheering on Team USA in advance of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. For those who just can’t wait, Hershey’s Gold Caramelized Creme Peanuts & Pretzels is now available at select Hershey’s Chocolate World locations in Las Vegas, Nevada and Hershey, Pennsylvania.
