American Girl Dolls are for all ages.

My wife is an avid doll collector of American Girl dolls. It makes her feel like a little girl again. On our bedroom shelves are adorned with eight different American Girl dolls each, with their own special personality.

The names of her AG Girl dolls are Molly, Samantha, Caroline, Marie-Grace, Saige, Ivy, Cecile and McKenna. They come dressed with the latest fashion and you can purchase unique outfits for them too. Some of the dolls’ accessories are eyeglasses, earrings, crutches and a bicycle. Regardless of the outfit or hairstyle you choose, an American Girl Doll is always special and unique.

I went to an American Girl store with my wife earlier this year, and what I saw blew me away. The choice of outfits I saw were so numerous, it boggles my mind. She looks forward to getting her dolls’ hair braided every holiday season, so they are happy and look their very best. Last Christmas I purchased the bicycle as a present for one of the dolls, and my wife was happy for weeks on end.

Her favorite feature of the American Girl dolls is that you can create your one of a kind custom made doll of your choosing.  You can choose from over 2.4 million plus combinations such as your doll’s own haircut, hairstyle, face shape, hair color, freckles, glasses, eye color, pierced ears, hearing aid, braces, skin tone and much more. My wife’s favorite and most cherished doll wears a Lucia outfit (this outfit is worn on a Swedish holiday celebration and is an old Swedish tradition).

Another one of her favorite doll sports crutches, as the side effect of the very serious Polio disease.  American Girl Dolls correspond to different historical phases in American history. We watched some American Girl Doll DVD’s together with our nieces, and read all American Girl Doll books last holiday season. Some of our favorite American Girl Doll movies are:

  • McKenna Shoots For The Stars, which is about a young gymnast who triumphant over an injury at the gym and tackles suffering grades at school.
  • Isabelle Dances Into The Spotlight, which features a young girl aspiring to be a ballet dancer struggling to prove herself as a ballet artist.
  • Grace Stirs Success is about a little girl who has a passion for baking and refines her skills in Paris France.
  • Samantha An American Girl Holiday, chronicles the life of a girl in 1904.
  • Saige is about a little girl who tries valiantly to save art class at school with a fund raiser.
  • Changes for Caroline is about a girl who helps out at her uncle’s farm.
  • Good Luck Ivy is about a Chinese girl who balances family and her gymnastics at the same time.
  • Marie-Grace And The Orphans features a little baby boy at a doorstep.

My wife and our nieces are very excited to explore the new fall going back to school collections at the AG Girl store in NYC soon! They look forward to taking as many pictures as they can.

  • Americangirl.com/create-your-own enables you to create your own 18’’ Doll For $200. The charm of this is that you can make a doll that looks just like you.
  • Americangirl.com/trulyme offers a Truly Me 18” Doll, book and accessories for $135. Here you can find a doll that expresses who your little girl truly is, as an individual.
  • A Smart Girl’s Guide: Making a difference is a must read for all young girls, which retails for $12.99. Little girls are making a difference in the world, and this book details smart ideas and strong determination.

There’s a new pet lovers’ set at AG Girl called American Girl Pet Boutique. It’s a boutique that includes a terrarium, an aquarium, cat tree, pet toys, food bowls, a tortoise, a kitten, fish and birds. Adopt a lovebird that tweets and take home all the other pets too. The set costs $250. You can also purchase separately a Husky puppy for $28. The Dog Care Essentials set includes bed, pretend food and water, collar and leash plus toys for $35. The Tuxedo Cat costs $28 as well. The Cat Care Essentials set comes with a Cat tree, pretend food and water, catnip, and litter box for $35.

As you can see, American Girl has something for all girls, no matter what age, color, size and shape!

Thanks for visiting my blog: Lifestyle411.net I'm currently a lifestyle contributor for Thrive Global and am Amazon Influencer. I was a contributor for Huffington Post and Examiner.com. My stories can be found at https://www.thriveglobal.com/authors/103-beverly-lim --- and huffingtonpost.com/author/beverly-lim --- I'm a super mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and an awesome BFF. I stay organized, thanks to my wireless assistant: smartphone, tablets, and laptop. In addition to beauty, fashion, technology and traveling, I love arts & culture, food/wine, and indulge in very much needed "me" time whenever humanly possible! Dining out, cooking/entertaining family and friends throughout the year makes me happy. I'm addicted to shopping in order to have whatever required to compliment my every mood. I enjoy a good jog, especially after a challenging work day so I can release endorphins. A great session on the treadmill or bike makes me smile from cheek to cheek, no matter how stressful of a day I had! When I'm home and after my family and pets are asleep, I pamper myself with a facial mask, hair treatment and lose myself in an aromatherapy bubble bath. It's like being on a dreamy spa getaway -- till the family wakes up and it's time for me to feed the kids, walk the dogs, to go work... I just loving sharing new finds with all those who have the desire to discover the best of the best that life has to offer!
